Aidy has been modelling since the mid 1990s. His principal interest is in the military aviation of South East Asia, specifically the Royal Malaysian Air Force. Whilst he has been steadily building models of aircraft used in Operation Firedog, his main focus is on the RMAF.

He regularly builds models on commission and in 2003 he co-founded VFA Productions making a range of Malaysian Air Force decals, and is now one of the modellers behind the Decal-la range of decals.
