PHIL CAMP

Specialist Subjects:

Indian Air Force, Navy, Army & Coastguard aviation

Phil is the branch secretary of IPMS S.E. Essex in the UK. He is 60 years old and has been modelling (very slowly) since the 1960s. He collects Airfix Kits and when he does model, his interests are Indian and Portuguese military. He's been to India over 20 times and collected a wealth of information on squadrons, types, colour schemes and badges. As a result of this he's "reasonably" well versed on all Indian military aviation subjects including Navy, Army and Coast Guard, and also has some knowledge on ships and armour. He's written numerous articles on the IAF and two outstanding books, "Sukhoi Su-30 Flanker In Indian Service" and "Squadron, Patches, Heraldry & Artwork of the Indian Air Force 1932-2016" and has more in the pipeline!

For general info on Indian military subjects he recommends that you visit the various Bharat Rakshak sites (http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/), War Birds of India (http://warbirdsofindia.com/) and the Indian Scale Modellers FaceBook page.
